Seattle Sights, Sounds and Hotels
In Seattle, southeast of Pioneer Square is an area known locally as the ID, the International District, where the residents are mainly ethnic Chinese, but which Japanese and Korean residents also call home. The ID in Seattle began its existence as a refuge for the Chinese workers who were labouring on the transcontinental railroad. Today the area is a fascinating neighbourhood where herbalists, acupuncturists, and massage parlours abound, and the air is filled with the exotic aroma of eastern eateries in Seattle.
Seattle's International District is yet another intersting and entertaining way to spend some time in cosmopolitan Seattle. The welcoming Seattle Hotels will be one of the many reasons that return again and again.
